First Artist Statement

After not drawing all summer long I am very excited to get back into my groove. I love to sketch and use line techniques in my drawings. I enjoy shading so that you can see where the direction of light is coming from. Sometimes when I shade I imagine that I am showing the dark side of things and the lighter happier version is on the other side. I don't really like painting because I feel as if I can never get the colors the way that I like them. I see an imagine in my head and I can draw it but when it comes to painting I just suck so I am really hoping to get that taken care of this year.
